Fall 2026 New Student Orientation – On Campus
We encourage all students to attend New Student Orientation. This is a great chance for you to meet other incoming students and learn about all that Covenant Seminary offers to students for connection, care, and support. You will also meet some faculty and staff who will be integral to your first semesters at Covenant.
Spouses are highly encouraged to attend as well.
Childcare will be provided for children ages 6 months – 10 years old. Please arrive at 8:30 a.m. to drop kids off at the Log Cabin, get settled in, and snap a photo for your library card outside of Founders 342.
Official program will start at 9:00 a.m. in Founders 342.
Coffee and snacks will be provided in the morning, and we will end with lunch after the program and an optional tour of campus.

Ministry Lunch - Covenant London Missions Team Report

Covenant Seminary sent a short term missions team to West London (May 29-June 7) to serve among South Asians of Hindu, Sikh, and Muslim backgrounds. They partnered with Serge and their church plant to learn about this South Asian community and share the love of Jesus with them. Come to the ministry lunch to hear the team's report on the amazing things that God did during the trip.

Speaker:Dr. Drew Martin, Associate Professor of Systematic Theology, will be leading us in devotions based on Revelation 5.
Day of Prayer is a wonderful way for us, as a community, to take a break from our normal routine and acknowledge our need for God. Dr. Martin will lead is in a series of devotions based on Revelation 5, and we’ll have times of directed group and private prayer, with lunch to follow in the Community Center courtesy of our International Students. This is the first of a 2-part seminar offered by the Development Office aimed at answering your questions, helping you identify and understand resources you already have, and developing a fully-formed fundraising plan.

Ministry Lunch - Resound Project NYC: Ministry Residencies and Internships
Speakers: Andrew Smith, Emerging Leaders Program Director, Resound Project
Resound Project is an initiative out of Central Presbyterian Church (EPC) in New York City, the purpose of which is to strengthen new and existing churches in light of a changing world so that the gospel of Jesus Christ might resound to the next generation.
An integral part of Resound Project is the Emerging Leaders Program, through which Central is seeking to function as the first of several “teaching hospitals” in order to cultivate a pipeline of future leaders to serve the broader church in a variety of different contexts. To that end the program has two offerings:
a two-year, full-time salaried residency program for male seminary graduates seeking ordination as gospel ministers;and
a full-time salaried ministry internship program for current male and female seminary students (who would live in NYC while completing their seminary coursework online remotely).
Ministry interns will also have their seminary tuition covered by the program.

Commencement
Speaker: Rev. Joe Novenson
Rev. Novenson served in pastoral ministry for many years at several churches, most recently Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where he was Senior Pastor until 2018, when he stepped into an Associate Pastor role until 2022. In that year he stepped down from the church staff and entered business with brothers in Christ. He loves meeting with younger pastors and engaging in mentoring relationships, and continues to preach and teach as God gives him opportunities. Rev. Novenson served on Covenant Seminary’s Board of Trustees for 12 years.
Graduation Celebration

Covenant Seminary is honored to host the April 2026 Stated Meeting of the Missouri Presbytery of the PCA. Teaching and Ruling Elders from Presbytery churches will be gathered to do the business of the church.
Faculty, staff, and students are invited to sit in on the public business portions of the meeting in Rayburn Chapel as they have time and to join the Presbyters for worship, where our own Dr. Thurman Williams will be preaching).

Austin Harrington Counseling Lectures 2026
Speaker: Dr. Seth Scott, Assistant Dean of the Seminary & School of Counseling and Professor of Counselor Education at Columbia International University. Dr. Scott is also the founder and counselor at Sunrise Counseling in Columbia, South Carolina.
This event will explore what it means to be a Christian who counsels, examining how faith and virtue shape both personal formation and professional practice. Participants will engage with key Christian virtues that undergird life and counseling work, learning how these virtues influence clinical decisions and outcomes. Practical tools and approaches for ongoing counselor formation will be presented and personalized, with a strong emphasis on the supportive role of community in sustaining growth and effectiveness.
