Response to Letter to Churches

Covenant Seminary recently received a copy of a letter dated Tuesday, May 30th, which was also posted to social media June 1st, that addresses the tragic murder of Elizabeth Mackintosh on the Seminary campus in March 1990. We believe the letter misinterprets the facts and misrepresents the Seminary’s response.

Covenant Seminary has always cooperated and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement. According to Chief Jeff Hartman, Chief of the Creve Coeur Police Department, “The Creve Coeur Police Department considers this case an open investigation and we continue to explore leads as they develop. Covenant Theological Seminary is cooperating with the Creve Coeur Police Department in all aspects of this investigation.”

We grieve the loss of Elizabeth and desire to see justice for her and mercy for those impacted by her death.
