2025 Lifetime of Ministry Conference Goes “Deep and Wide” on Spiritual Disciplines with Rev. mark Davis

“What goes deepest to the heart goes widest to the world,” says Rev. Mark Davis, Senior Pastor of Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Dallas, Texas, and the featured speaker for Covenant Seminary’s 2025 Lifetime of Ministry (LOM) Conference. The conference takes place Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8, in Rayburn Chapel on the Seminary Campus.

Rev. Mark Davis

Focusing on the theme “Deep and Wide: Abiding in Christ Through Prayer and Biblical Meditation,” the aim of the conference is to help attendees grow in their understanding of and deepen their experience with walking in intimacy with Jesus. Rev. Davis will explore what it means to abide in Christ as we experience his presence and power through prayer and meditation on his Word. He’ll also identify the enemies and obstacles encountered in the process and guide us through some ancient practices that help believers create rhythms to sustain a deeper normative and transformative prayer life. The ultimate goal is to cultivate a longing for others to know the One who transforms and to proclaim his name widely in the world.

Rev. Mark Davis is a 1997 MDiv graduate of Covenant Seminary and a frequent speaker on the topic of spiritual disciplines. His messages for the LOM Conference will cover four important aspects of the main theme: (1) “Come and See—What Goes Deepest to the Heart Goes Widest to the World,” (2) “Authentic Depth and the Fruit that Flowers,” (3) “Rest and Receive—What Martha Teaches Us about Meditation,” and (4) “Show and Tell—When We Can’t Stop Talking about What We Have Seen and Heard.”

Dr. Thomas C. Gibbs, President of Covenant Seminary, noted, “I have known Mark Davis for many years, and can attest to the depth and power of his own personal and ministerial walk with Christ. I can think of no better guide to walk us through this topic of spiritual disciplines as we seek to know and love Jesus better—both for our own sakes and for the sake of making him known and loved by others.”

In addition to the regular conference activities, this year the Seminary will also take time to celebrate the ministry milestones of some of our graduates. Covenant grads from class years ending in 0 and 5 are invited to join us for a special time of reflection and fellowship honoring their years of ministry. More details will be available soon. To participate in the event, grads from those years can sign up when they register for the conference.

Tickets for the conference are available now at the following rates: Individual, $69; Couple, $89; Students, $25.
