ALUMNI DINNER

Thursday, June 26, 5:30 p.m.

Join us June 26 for our General Assembly Alumni Dinner! Our goal is to provide alumni with an evening to reconnect with Covenant Seminary and one another over a good meal. Seating is limited! We sell out every year, so you will want to buy tickets as soon as possible.

Location

This year’s dinner will be at Southside Social in Chattanooga, only 0.5 miles from the Chattanooga Convention Center! Parking at this location is free, and the venue will be available for bowling beginning at 4:30. A bowling lane for six people costs $20 (not included with your registration to the dinner).

Cost

$10/person or $20/family

FAQs

  • In the past, we were able to not charge our alumni for dinner. Due to rising costs, we have opted for a small ticket charge to offset our expenses. It doesn’t fully cover the evening, but it helps the Seminary to not incur too large an expense.

  • Of course!

  • If they are Covenant Seminary alumni then we are glad to have them! We ask that you not bring non-alumni friends just because we sell out reservations every year. We want to keep spots open for our graduates.

Five Key Trends Shaping Church Planting in 2025 and How to Prepare Today

Dr. Robert Kim

As we continue to trust that the Lord is building his church and the promise that nothing will prevail against it (Matt. 16:18), we also want to faithfully prepare for what is to come. This seminar will explore five key trends influencing church planting, including the mental health crisis, cultural and generational shifts, new models of community engagement, and the changing landscape of evangelism. Gain insights into how these trends are impacting church health and sustainability and how to prepare for the challenges and opportunities they present.

Suicide and the Church

Dr. Paul Loosemore

Churches that are prepared to respond to mental health crises will have increased opportunities to offer the transformative gospel of Jesus Christ. This seminar will unpack a biblical framework that guides the church to minister well to those struggling with suicidal ideation, considering practical requirements and limits to care and covering issues such as assessment strategies, safety responding, and empathetic support.
