The 2024 Austin Harrington Counseling Conference

PRACTICING FOR HEAVEN

COUNSELING, NEUROSCIENCE, AND THE WISDOM OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

In our work as counselors, pastors, and ministry leaders, Curt Thompson, MD says, “We are not primarily trying to deliver people from symptoms. We are assisting them in becoming professional human beings. We're doing this to help us all get ready for the kingdom of God for when it arrives.”

Our keynote speakers, Curt Thompson, MD and Richard Winter, MD will explore:

  • The opportunities and challenges facing Christian counselors in the 21st century.

  • Biblical perspectives on advances in neuroscience and emerging treatments.

  • How they have personally and practically integrated faith and evidence-based resources in their private practice.

Join us May 16-17, 2024 in Rayburn Chapel on the campus of Covenant Theological Seminary to learn from two leading professionals in the field of Christian counseling.

* Lunch may not be available to individuals registering on or after Monday, May 13.

Counselors

Advances in technology and neuroscience are providing promising treatments for those who are suffering even while cultural changes are introducing and intensifying those struggles. How do we remain faithful Christian counselors in the midst of these dynamics and best help our clients?

Learn from internationally respected psychiatrists Curt Thompson, MD and Richard Winter, MD as they share their experience and insight into counseling, neuroscience, and the wisdom of the Kingdom of God.

Continuing Education for the state of Missouri will be offered.
