Stuart grew up in the Mississippi delta but considers St. Louis his home. After graduating from Missouri Baptist University with a BA in religion, he married his wife, Allison, and they moved to Kansas City for seminary. After finishing his MDiv, he moved back to St. Louis and began working for a local Baptist church as a care director and eventually as a pastor. In his fourth year of vocational ministry, he formed deep Reformed and Presbyterian convictions that led him to resign from his position to seek out ministry in the PCA. The Lord led him to Covenant Seminary to serve in admissions, marketing, and recruiting.

He loves playing tabletop games with friends, and watching silly comedies, fantasy, and sci-fi movies. He is also deeply proud of his Scottish heritage. Stuart and Allison have two young children – Kaylee and Kelsey.
