Dr. Robbie Griggs

Director of the Master of Theology Program

Associate Professor of Systematic Theology

Dr. Robbie Griggs is Associate Professor of Systematic Theology and Director of the ThM program. His PhD is in New Testament from Durham University. He also holds an MDiv from Covenant Seminary as well as a BA in philosophy and a BS in finance from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

An expert in New Testament theology and early Jewish theology, his research focuses on Paul’s theology of grace in Galatians in comparison with contemporary Jewish theologies of God as “giver.” This research takes him to the heart of several key historic and contemporary debates in Pauline and systematic theology.

Dr. Griggs previously served as a pastor at Central Presbyterian Church in St. Louis for eight years . He is a life-long Missouri resident, a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and an avid supporter of Mizzou football and basketball. He and his wife, Jane-Ellis, have three boys.
