annalisa smith

family nurture services coordinator

Annalisa trained as an elementary teacher and embarked on an amazing voyage to teach at international schools in Asia from 2004-2015. She's also worked as a homeschool coordinator for missionary families and in children's ministry. A husband and several moves later, the Lord granted her two long-time prayers, surprisingly in the same year: to go to seminary and to become a mother. As Annalisa slowly finishes her seminary studies, she also dabbles in curriculum writing and has worked for the Academics office and as Dr. Tasha Chapman’s Teaching Assistant.

Annalisa feels most at home teaching preschoolers about the Bible, sampling Asian cuisine while telling travel stories, chatting with friends over hot cups of tea or coffee, finding ways to communicate big truths with small words, and enjoying moments of laughter with her husband, Cary, and sweet toddler, Charissa. She hopes the Family Nurture services will help families feel God's nurturing care for them and their kiddos as they wear the many "hats" of seminary life.
