The Covenant Library joins colleagues at fellow MOBIUS libraries in welcoming several new member institutions into the library resource sharing network. Each new MOBIUS member helps expand the pool of over 27 million books and other materials available to Covenant’s students, faculty, and staff through the MOBIUS catalog. These latest new members are especially noteworthy as they represent a new stage of MOBIUS reaching beyond Missouri to collaborate with libraries in other states.
The new member that will be of foremost interest to the Covenant community is Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Southwestern Baptist is one of the largest seminaries in the world, and its libraries together hold over 1 million items.
MOBIUS has also expanded north into Iowa, welcoming West Des Moines Public Library, Altoona Public Library, and Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Finally, MOBIUS users have been enjoying access to over 30 million items in the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries’ Prospector catalog. Prospector is also expanding, most recently with the addition of the Denver Public Library, whose holdings are expected to be available later this year.
To learn more about MOBIUS, Prospector, and how to request materials from other libraries, see the library’s webpage on MOBIUS & Interlibrary Loan, or talk to a library staff member.
