Speaker: Dr. Dan Zink, Professor and Dean of the Counseling Department, Covenant Seminary
Attachment is the key formative process in human experience. But, trauma distorts this essential-for-life process. In this session we will solidify our understanding of both attachment and trauma, and of the relationship between the two. To do so, Dan Zink will first develop a new view of integration of theology and theory. We will use this new view to anchor and deepen our understanding of the positive effects of attachment and the counter-effects of trauma. From this anchored and layered perspective, we will discuss treatment options for people suffering diminished attachment returns because of impacts of trauma in their lives.
