Why Christianity is Good for Science: A Lecture and Discussion
Wednesday, October 11, 3:30 – 4:45 p.m.
Buswell Library, Room 111
Free and open to all.
Our own Dr. Jack Collins, Professor of Old Testament, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event.
Dr. Davis is an expert on the interaction of Christianity and science from the Church Fathers down to the present day. His scholarly publications deal with aspects of the Scientific Revolution (the period from Copernicus to Newton), especially with the life and work of the great chemist Robert Boyle, and also with science and religion in modern America, especially in the period between the two world wars. He is also the author of numerous articles and columns about science and religion, and is co-editor of the The Works of Robert Boyle (14 volumes). Please join us in welcoming Dr. Davis to campus.
