For over 60 years, Covenant Theological Seminary has shaped alumni for ministry through a combination of academic rigor and pastoral mentorship. Covenant Seminary alumni are committed to God’s kingdom mission in the world and passionate about serving the Church with godly, wise leadership. One faculty member in particular has played a noted role in impacting alumni for over three decades: Dr. David B. Calhoun.
Dr. David Calhoun arrived on campus in 1978, began teaching church history at Covenant Seminary, and the fabric of the Seminary was changed forever. Dr. Calhoun’s deep personal faith, commitment to students, and excellence in scholarship reflected the values and ethos that began to mark Covenant Seminary faculty for years to come. Whatever your present ministry may be, Dr. Calhoun has impacted your training and shaped your Covenant Seminary experience.
In recognition of Dr. Calhoun’s service, and with gratitude to God, we want to honor this beloved professor. With your partnership, we will create the Dr. David B. Calhoun Scholarship to praise God and honor the work, ministry, and impact of Dr. Calhoun as we encourage and support future generations of alumni to come.
