Major Gift Officer

Covenant Theological Seminary is seeking to fill a full-time Major Gift Officer (MGO) position. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the MGO oversees all regional fundraising efforts for an assigned territory in concert with the overall objectives and goals of the institution.

The MGO works to establish and pursue personal and regional goals, objectives, and strategies for major gift fundraising in order to increase support for and build awareness of the Seminary and its mission within the broader donor base. To accomplish these goals, the MGO develops and cultivates relationships of trust with individual donors, churches, and foundations, engaging them in the mission and vision of the Seminary through personal and intentional communication, visitation, and care for the purpose of nurturing individual interest in and support for the seminary.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous development experience in higher education or ministry contexts.
• Possess significant understanding of the St. Louis community and the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
• Genuinely enjoy building trust relationships.
• Reflect appropriately the Seminary’s goals, values, and care for others.
