- Publishers set the retail prices of the books that they supply to the market. At Covenant Seminary Bookstore we offer most of our products for a significant discount off the retail price. This discount is reflected on product pages by showing the "regular price" and the "special price." The discounted or special price is an ongoing offer that is provided to our customers for two reasons. One reason is that we want to be competitive in the marketplace and earn your business by providing you with great value for your book-buying needs. More importantly, we offer a discount because we view the bookstore as a ministry in which we are able to supply quality, biblical and Reformed resources, and we hope to make them available to as many people as possible.
- How do you ensure your customers' privacy and security?
- You can shop at www.covenantseminary.edu/bookstore online with confidence. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to offer safe and secure credit card and electronic check transactions for our customers. The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card and electronic check processing networks (see an online payments diagram). The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:
* 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.
* Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.
* Compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.
For additional information regarding the privacy of your sensitive cardholder data, please read the Authorize.net Privacy Policy. The Covenant Seminary Bookstore (www.covenantseminary.edu/bookstore) is registered with the Authorize.Net Verified Merchant Seal program. - What are your order fulfillment and shipping policies?
- While our physical store limits the amount of product we can keep on hand, we do try to keep at least 2 copies in stock of every title found on the web store. For many of our titles, such as course textbooks, faculty-authored books, and other popular books, we will constantly keep higher quantities on hand to meet the higher demand. This means that most orders will be fulfilled on the same day or one day following the day they are submitted. If for any reason we expect that it will take longer than 5 business days to fulfill your order, we will contact you early in the process via e-mail to inform you of the status of your order.
Our shipping rates vary based on your order subtotal, and our Standard Shipping rates (which are applicable for addresses in the United States) are as follows:
$5.00 shipping on orders of $0.00 - $25.00
$5.95 shipping on orders of $25.01 - $75.00
$7.95 shipping on orders of $75.01 - $150.00
FREE shipping on orders of $150.00 or more
Covenant Seminary Bookstore most often uses United Parcel Service as our shipping solution. This reliable shipping partner can deliver orders to almost anywhere in the continental United States in 3 to 4 business days, and never more than 5 business days. Occasionally, the best value for our customers will be to use the United States Postal Service Priority Mail service, which will deliver to any address in the United States, including P.O. Boxes, in an average of 2 to 3 days. USPS Priority Mail service will also be used for any shipment to an address outside of the United States. If your order is shipped to an address outside the United States, you will be charged Actual Shipping costs instead of the Standard Shipping rates. After your order is placed, you will be notified of the Actual Shipping costs via e-mail and asked to reply with approval for those charges. Once your order is shipped, a tracking # will be provided to you so that you can remain updated on the progress of your shipment. - What is your policy if I need to return something I ordered for a refund or replacement?
- Covenant Seminary Bookstore does not usually allow returns or provide refunds for orders placed online and shipped to customers. The exception is when a product is defective due to a manufacturer or publisher mistake. If you have received a defective book or other product, please contact us to inform us of the problem; then send it back to our store, and we will send you a replacement as well as reimburse you for your shipping cost. If a product is damaged in the shipping process, or if it does not arrive at the intended shipping address, we will provide any assistance that we can in working with the shipper to secure reimbursement for a refund or replacement of the product.
