Church Resources
Churches regularly seek resources for identifying qualified candidates for open positions. While many candidates may have similar gifts, the ways in which these gifts come together within an individual—combined with that person’s unique expressions of those gifts through leadership, communication, and relationships—greatly impacts individual “fitted-ness” for a specific position.
The Covenant Seminary Career Services team is ready to help churches identify their unique expressions of ministry values in order to shape job descriptions around core needs. Furthermore, this process of differentiation helps churches better identify candidates that line up with them—not just theologically, but in areas of core ministry expression. This approach is based largely on Dr. Phil Douglass’ book What is Your Church’s Personality.
