  Citation Style Guides

  Our citation style guides provide footnote, parenthetical citation, and bibliography formatting guidelines, as well as real-life examples for the most commonly cited types of material.

  • Turabian Style Guide – for theological writing and other general papers
    based on: A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations, 7th ed., by Kate L. Turabian
  • APA Style Guide (pdf, 155KB) – for counseling papers
    based on: Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th ed.

  Thesis & Dissertation Formatting

  Before submitting your thesis or dissertation for final approval, it will have to meet the Library’s formatting specifications. These specifications are designed to meet the general standards of academic professionalism and the technical requirements for binding.

  • Wabash Center Internet Guide to Religion – An excellent annotated guide to electronic resources on the Internet related to the study and practice of religion. Includes syllabi, electronic texts, electronic journals, web sites, bibliographies, liturgies, reference resources, software, etc.
  • Wabash Center Teaching & Learning Resources Guide – An annotated guide to Internet and print resources related to the teaching of religion and theology.
  • Congregational Resource Guide – Provides hundreds of annotated resource recommendations that address the specific, practical needs of congregations and their leaders. Includes articles, Web sites, news sources, organizations, books, periodicals, special reports, online topical explorations, learning pathways, etc.
