Points to Consider

Reading History is a feature in your Library Account that allows you to track and list many of the materials you have checked out from Covenant and other Bridges libraries. You have the option of enabling this feature within your library account. However, there are some considerations that you should keep in mind.

  • The list of items in your Reading History will display only Bridges materials that you have checked out. Nothing you borrow from MOBIUS will be included in this Reading History list.
  • Interlibrary Loan materials will appear on your Reading History list in the same manner as your Covenant or Bridges materials. However, due to the temporary nature of the Interlibrary Loan records, the corresponding entries in your reading history list will eventually disappear. Therefore, if you want to retain a record of these items, it is recommended that export or otherwise copy the citation(s) for your records.
  • The Reading History list will only include materials you check out from the point that you turn on your Reading History. Materials that were checked out prior to turning on your Reading History will not be included in the list
  • Once an item has been returned, the libraries maintain no record of what you borrowed, and library staff have no access to your reading history.
  • If you are concerned about someone else seeing a list of what you are reading, the safest step is not to activate your reading history.

Consider these factors prior to opting-in to your Reading History.
