Continuing Education
MDiv students trained at Covenant Seminary enter vocational ministry equipped with the necessary tools to help them successfully exercise public leadership. Yet extensive research findings from Covenant Seminary’s Center for Ministry Leadership show that pastors and their spouses are lonely and experience significant degrees of doubt in life and ministry calling. For the health and future of our churches, we understand that pastors need to learn in the context of trusted relationships. To meet this need, Covenant Seminary offers specially designed weekend and week long classes, known as Lifetime of Ministry courses, that address issues pertinent to today’s ministry leaders and those who serve beside them.
However, the learning involves more than just new teaching. It focuses on shaping the whole person, nurturing a gospel-centered identity out of which students minister. Lifetime of Ministry courses:
- Offer unique opportunities for practical learning and spiritual growth.
- Are free to Covenant Seminary alumni and their spouses and full-time students and their spouses who wish to audit the course.
- Can be audited (non-transcript audit) for $25 per credit hour.
Current students and those pursuing academic credit: Contact the Registrar’s office.
Faculty and staff: Register through the Admissions office.

Distance Education
Our distance education students now learn under a revamped program, which mirrors a typical on-campus course. Features include:
- Four online classes offered each semester. Along with audio or video versions of courses taught by Covenant Seminary professors, peer-to-peer learning is fostered through online postings and discussion forums.
- Classes led by a faculty/mentor team who facilitate discussions.
- Required testing and completion dates.
- A revised summer schedule with four two-week residency sessions that bring together on-campus and off-campus students for intensive learning.
Whether you want to simply enrich your life and ministry or begin a degree or certificate program, our grace-centered Reformed curriculum is designed to help you grow in grace and as you are further equipped for ministry.
