Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Thank you for your interest in Covenant Theological Seminary. We know that choosing the right seminary can be a challenge. We are eager to assist you in this process by walking alongside you before, during, and after your seminary experience to help you become rooted in grace for a lifetime of ministry.
Whether you feel called to pastoral ministry, some other form of ministry leadership, or are simply seeking to enhance your personal understanding of theology and the Bible, I invite you to come to Covenant Seminary. Our mission is to train servants of the Triune God to walk with God, to interpret and communicate God's Word, and to lead God's people. By God's grace and for His glory, we carry out this mission through:
Covenant Seminary's primary purpose is to prepare pastors and teachers who have both a solid knowledge of Biblical truth and a heart for God's people. Our faculty is committed not only to in-depth study of God's Word, but also to fostering an atmosphere in which these truths transform hearts and empower students to lead and serve Christ's Church.
I invite you to visit us, not only through this Web site, but also -- and more importantly -- in person to meet some of our current students, attend a few classes, worship in chapel, and have lunch with a professor. This is a wonderful way to experience for yourself the deep sense of covenant community that makes Covenant Seminary a unique place to live, learn, and grow in grace. In fact, most students tell us that the single most important factor in their decision to attend Covenant Seminary was their campus visit. I encourage you to contact our Admissions staff today to arrange a visit.
The Lord has been gracious to Covenant Seminary through many years, and we attribute all the blessings that have come entirely to His will and provision. We are especially thankful that the Lord is using us to serve more and more people who want training at a seminary committed to the absolute authority and inerrancy of the Scriptures. Indeed, for the past 17 years, the Lord has blessed us with record enrollments and expanding influence as our graduates go forth to serve in a wide range of ministry settings all over the world. Our constant prayer is that their unique balance of personal piety and scholarly rigor will be used by God to transform many lives through the power of the Gospel.
The good news of God's grace permeates everything we believe and teach at Covenant Seminary. Should the Lord lead you here as a student, you will find that this message shapes not only our curriculum but the way we seek to live as a covenant community. As a result of God's grace to us, we are motivated to respond to Him with our obedience and to others with His mercy. In this way, the Gospel takes root in us and flows into fruitful ministry from our testimony of Him.
God has wonderfully blessed us here at Covenant Seminary. We pray that you will join us and share in His blessing as well, as you seek to follow His call and serve Him faithfully.
In Christ,
Bryan Chapell
President
